Question:
Does anyone know how much does your average comic book artist make?
Answer:
-There's no real set answer. Every artist and every company is different. The
only thing that is consistant is that just about every company pays it's artist
(and writers, inkers, colorist and letterers) a per page rate. That rate varies
from artist to artist, depending on many factors such as his experience and
his/her popularity
-I remember reading at wizardschool.com, when the site was useful, that the
rate is generally $150 per page, and this can vary on how many pages the
artists draw, ie how many titles they work on. The pages in a comic are
usually 22 A4, but that is made up off 11 A3 pages, and then the artist is
paid for those.
