I am an amatuer comic book artist looking for "Comic Book" fonts in the
IBM variety. I am aware of places like Comicraft (awesome fonts) but I
cannot afford to buy any fonts since I am a "starving artist."
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could go to download a shareware
comic book font?

- There's an alt.binaries.fonts newsgroup. You might try asking
there.
-On Microsoft's website, there should be a free TrueType font called
Comic Sans. For Windows95 and NT, you can get it from
ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/developr/drg/truetype/comic.exe
- Try WhizBang. It's good and cheap. You'll find it advertised in the
classifieds of most every issue of CBG. if memory serves, it's under
thirty bucks.
