Question:
I've been out of the comic book collecting game for quite some time and want
to see what the value of some of my comics. What is the current 'hot' book
that publishes comic prices? Or is there a webpage that offers values?
Answer:
-www.wizardworld.com is building an online price guide. You might be able to
find those items there.
-http://www.showcasefloyd.com this is a free online comic book price guide
-*The* definitive comic book price guide is Overstreet's Comic Book Price
Guide, put out by the "Official" line of price guides. You should be
able to get this for around $12.95 in paperback at any bookstore such
as Walden Books. And, really, it's about the only well-known comic book
price guide.
Also, this price guide has a monthly magazine that provides an update on
the latest prices. A comic book shop will carry these updates.
By the way, you'll get a much better price on your books by selling them
to another collector as opposed to a dealer. Just like with any other
antique.
